The Establishment, at 28 Broad, is one of the finest restaurants in Charleston. The atmosphere wraps around you in a warm embrace of wood decor. Specialty Woodworks helped the design team bring this project to reality.
The primary materials included white oak solids finished in a flat tone and espresso tone using a wire-brushed application. Reclaimed white oak is also used on this project and finished to match the flat tone finish. Veneers and solid woods were in the painted areas. Along with a variety of specialized materials creating unique textures and appearances.
The scope of our work begins with the bar area. The curved bar features a granite top, a combination of frosted Plexiglas, and faux leather panels along the bar fronts. The display cabinets showcase stile and rail doors with clear glass fronts and plexiglass inserts. The back bar provides cabinets, with adjustable shelves, and a matching granite countertop.
The spectacular appeal of The Establishment is the application of white oak paneled walls with wainscot accents and the ceilings with white oak planks. This decorative choice is found in the host station hallway, vestibule area, bar area, dining room, lower dining rooms, and restrooms.
The Expo Area features an espresso toned wood-paneled wall, a service bar made of marble top, and a bar front constructed of reclaimed white oak. From the bar, customers can watch the chefs under the kitchen's copper ventilation panels.
Additionally, we built and installed cabinets with stile and rail doors and adjustable shelves in the service storage room. Each included four banks of cabinets painted chelsea gray.
A lot goes into what we do and how we do it. Meet the team that makes it happen.
