The Inn at the Crossroads was once home to McCrea’s Inn, the colonial inn that housed settlers and merchants. Located in historic downtown Lake City, S.C., the property went through multiple renovation phases to restore its historic, southern charm while offering modern amenities. The Crossroads Bar and Grille is one of the property highlights most guests enjoy. Specialty Woodworks' scope of work included entranceways and hospitality amenities.

From the Inn’s main hallway are the double entry doors. The sapele stave core doors are custom crafted with privacy lites that provide a luminescent glow while keeping the hallway from feeling confined and dark. The barn door rails open the doorway with no obstruction.

The entranceways from the courtyard greet you with a simple, yet, bold look. The stile and rail constructed doors are custom-built with sapele stave core materials providing years of good looks thanks to its weather-resistant qualities.

Just inside the courtyard entrance is the unique triple-panel bypass door hung on a barn door rail. These, too, were crafted from sapele stave core materials. Its three panels feature champagne-finished, laser-cut, aluminum inserts to accentuate the property's charm and elegant style.

The bar creates an environment inviting guests to enjoy the evening. Working to meet the design team’s vision, we used a quartz surface and antiqued mirrors along the fronts to give an open feel to the space. Brass foot rails add to patrons’ comfort. The overhead decor breaks up the room with a solid, yet, open division using black piping and brass fittings.

The back bar completes the room with materials found throughout. This includes the quartz counters, sapele veneer cabinets with wine racks, and glass shelves supported by black piping and brass fittings. The back wall creates a beautiful display of beverage offerings. The translucent plexiglass panels are LED-backlit and then styled with the same champagne-finished aluminum panels. Above, storage space stylishly conceals items behind brass baker wire paneled doors.

Acoustics help create an enjoyable evening. Maple faux beams with acoustical batt inserts break up and absorb sound. The maple veneer soffits frame the room and create the desired ambiance using recessed, dimmable lighting.
