Epic Chophouse quickly has become a local favorite with its fabulous menu selections, warm colors, and the meshing of the old with a new modern-retro dining experience. Specialty Woodworks became a member of the design-build team that brought this concept to life.
We had the opportunity to work with a vast and unique assortment of materials on this project. Featured areas included stained maple solids, poplar solids painted with satin lacquers. Hammered copper and quilted patina copper are highlights of the bar and the private dining room mantle. Glasswork included antique mirrors, Lumicor® panels, and tempered glass. Acoustical fabrics and shadow box fabrics are used with ceiling treatments. LED light strips accented tiered shelves on the back bar. Plastic laminates created durable office furniture.
The scope of work begins in the reception area with the retro reception desk featuring reclaimed antique ironwork and one of three spectacular cloud mirrors above the desk. From there, the main dining room features a ceiling with acoustical panels and oversized wall trim for a bold and stunning effect.
The epicenter of the space is the bar area. It features a hand-crafted, hammered copper countertop, a stile and rail bar front with quilted patina copper inserts. The 13-ft wide cloud mirror, centered above the bar, completes the stylish, retro design. The back bar and bar wall are just as exquisite with maple solids, antique mirrors, Lumicor inserts, tempered glass shelves, and LED lights.
The private dining room is just as elegant with its beautiful mantle featuring matching stile and rail panels with quilted patina copper inserts. A third cloud mirror, centered in the room, creates a warm relaxing mood with its crystal globe light fixture.
Custom banquets were fabricated for the office area with plastic laminates for the drawer, tops, and shelving surfaces for durable scratch-resistant workspaces.
A lot goes into what we do and how we do it. Meet the team that makes it happen.
