Lexington Elementary School is fully operational so updates needed to be completed quickly during breaks.
Our engineering team worked with the designers and general contractor to meet the classroom organization and storage needs with an engineered solution that will provide years of dependable service. The classroom layouts varied and required unique specs. The engineering team provided the build team exact details to fabricate every unit with a perfect fit to the curved walls found in some rooms.
We provided wall and base cabinetry with countertops for kids' projects. The base cabinets accommodate a stainless steel sink for in-room cleanup. Large two-door storage cabinets provide space to put away items of almost every size using the adjustable shelves.
The cubby units provide space for kids' personal items and a shelf for their class materials.
The Media Department and the Main Office both have a multi-purpose room which required ample storage space. The faculty uses the space for taking breaks, as a workstation, and storage area for materials.
We fabricated all the furnishings in-house using engineered wood and a maple plastic laminate surface for durability and easy cleaning. The countertops were made using a plastic laminate that simulates the look of Corian® or Formica brand solid surface materials. The manufactured items were delivered and installed by the Specialty Woodworks team.
A lot goes into what we do and how we do it. Meet the team that makes it happen.
