Terminix Service, Inc. made Columbia its home for its commercial service headquarters. Specialty Woodworks was engaged to be a part of the build team. Our services included engineering, fabricating, and installation.
Plain sliced maple veneers, maple solids, maple laminate cladding were the primary materials used to create an open and modern appearance. Solid surface countertops provide durable long-lasting work surfaces with minimal maintenance.
Our work included the foyer’s monumental staircase and reception desk. After the staircase was installed, we engineered, fabricated, then added the rails, treads, and landings using maple solids and veneers. The reception desk matched the staircase with maple veneers fronts and solid surface counters. The maple ceiling slats enhanced the design of the space. With an intumescent finish, they meet class-A fire retardant requirements.
The breakroom, connected to the auditorium, serves as an efficient facility for all-day training sessions. Our work included the kitchenette area, the service island with two levels of counters, and booth-style upholstered seating.
In the executive area, the curved administrative desk has a transaction and work counter. Additional workspace behind the desk includes additional worktops and storage cabinets. In the center of the room, a work center provides storage and a place to spread out project files.
Centrally located on the second floor, a spacious breakroom includes booth-style upholstered seating along the back wall and a kitchenette station for food preparation.
A lot goes into what we do and how we do it. Meet the team that makes it happen.
