Team: Specialty Woodworks with Architect: Ellis Rickett; Contractor: Tyler Construction
Client’s Need: Create 400 linear feet of serving area in seven different food venues
Challenges: Completing seven high-end labor-intensive, precise designs from start to finish in ten weeks including the integration of equipment and sneeze guards
Results: Serving lines and seating in varying styles for seven distinct areas of the college’s dining facilities including pizza, sandwich, Italian, Asian, Diner and breakfast areas. Architectural details included radius serving lines with quartz counters, banquette seating with brushed metal and wood laminate panels. The school is extremely pleased with the finished food service area, which has become a place where students meet and spend lots of time, building a stronger spirit of community within the school.
