Specialty Woodworks Participating in Chaplaincy Program

Specialty Woodworks participates in the Corporate Chaplaincy Program, a service that provides our employees the option to speak with someone confidentially about anything that is currently happening in their life. If they need someone to talk to, our chaplain is there for them.

Our Process

While Specialty Woodworks occasionally accepts contract jobs directly from the owner of the final installed products, most of our work is performed under negotiation with general contractors, architects and/or designers retained by end-user companies. We are uniquely architect-friendly and pride ourselves on our flexibility and commitment of quality through out the building process.

The process usually begins with Specialty Woodworks submitting a bid in response to a formal invitation from a general contractor. Our bids are highly competitive in this specialized industry and meticulously comprehensive, fully itemizing all deliverables for each project. Once we are awarded a contract, the next step involves shop drawings (submittals) in which we provide to the customer. These shop drawings are based on architectural plans and detail every aspect of the envisioned final product.

Our engineers are trained to accommodate any architectural design presented by a customer. However, more than a quarter of our business consists of what we call "design-build" projects in which we actively participate in designing the product. Our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software features Autocad 2006 and Microvellum Engineering software. Our production capabilities include state-of-the-art woodworking equipment like our fixed bridge, 18hp (CNC) router which allows us to drill, carve, and cut materials with incredible accuracy and speed to increase productivity without sacrificing our superior quality. No architectural woodworking shop would be complete without a finish department and ours is no exception. Our finish department utilizes the finest stains, conversion varnishes and techniques to provide our customers with furniture quality finishes. This combined with very talented craftsman allows us to turn any design into a reality.

All of our products are crafted to order in our Lexington, South Carolina facility and every pain is taken to ensure on-time delivery. In addition, we personally conduct all installations onsite. Our goal is to exceed all expectations for superior quality and customer service.
